We get asked: “Since Dynamic FRM™ is built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, does that mean it only communicates with Microsoft Dynamics ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Customer Engagement solutions?”, and the answer to that question is no. Any food and beverage company can benefit from Dynamic FRM™ for many different reasons regardless of what platforms they use, and we will help you connect FRM to your ERP, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), or other systems. - Users can automatically tie emails (including replies) to records within Dynamic FRM™ directly from Outlook. For example, let us say you are conversing via email with a supplier on cost and specifications for a new ingredient you plan to purchase. If desired, that email conversation can be tied to your supplier ingredient in Dynamic FRM™.
- Users with the appropriate security role can export and import data using Excel. This allows you to make changes in Excel and see those changes updated across one or multiple items, which becomes very helpful for importing supplier and product information, as well as for mass updates.
- Robust document management is available through SharePoint. Users can access version history on documents, for example, and users not in Dynamic FRM™ can pull up documents if they have the appropriate security access in SharePoint.
- Microsoft Teams conversations for product requests, projects, items, and formulas can be documented directly in Dynamic FRM™ if desired.
- Enhanced reporting, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration opportunities are available through built-in dashboards, and personal views, charts, and native integration to Power BI for additional in-depth analysis is also an option.
- Through Microsoft Power Pages, companies can collaborate with external business partners through a secure portal. For example, you can share relevant specifications with co-manufacturers automatically and/or collaborate with suppliers on documents, contact information, and other critical data as determined by your business. Dynamic FRM™ can also be updated automatically, if required, as new information is provided.
